Solar Rise in the U.S.

The rise of global warming and non-renewable energy is something that has been an issue for a long time and has created numerous conversations. Cities lately has been trying to adopt to clean energy, and already 25 major cities are already working towards having 100% renewable energy since March 2017.

Washington, D.C. has launched the “Clean Energy DC”, which is the new climate and energy control plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions and increase renewable energy to 50% of total electric supply by the year 2032. It’s a stretch in years, but any cut to the amount of energy we use is more than important these days. Four U.S. cities –

Georgetown, Texas, Las Vegas, Nevada, Burlington, Vermont, and Greensburg, Kansas have already been powered 100% by renewable energy. D.C. already signed a bill in August 2015 that states 1/3 of DC government energy needs from wind power will save the city $45 million on it’s energy in the next 20 years. It is a challenge, but stakeholders have offered to help build and structure an acceptance approval.
